- Barney Pells Publications on Meta-Game playing, a predecessor of today's General Game Playing
- GGP-Galaxy is a project by Sam Schreiber with the goal to bring General Game Playing to a wider audience. It features a web kiosk to play games online, a game repository, and code for developing general game players, among other things.
- GaDeLaC, the Game Description Language Compiler is a tool for compiling GDL into other languages developed by Abdallah Saffidine and Tristan Cazenave. There is a workshop paper describing the approach. The resulting game descriptions are often more efficient for simulation and search.
- RL-GGP is a Java-based platform integrating reinforcement learning algorithms in GGP using RL-glue. RL-GGP was developed by José Luis Benacloch-Ayuso at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in Spain.
